On April 24th, 2024, the Dane County School Consortium held a youth apprenticeship mentor appreciation and recognition program.  MHTC's, apprentice, Cora Gorman was recognized, along with her mentor, Melissa Lease.

In 2023,  Mount Horeb High School's career coordinator, Jodie Baber, started the process to help Cora choose an option that best met her career goal.  That's when she was introduced to Melissa, Sr. Manager Sales/Marketing at MHTC.  Cora was a great match and started as MHTC's Marketing Assistant in June.

Melissa, along with the whole MHTC team, has been impressed with Cora's professionalism, creativity and work ethic. "The Youth Apprenticeship Program has provided both Cora and myself an opportunity to grow and learn from each other," stated, Lease.  "To help provide a pathway to a future marketing career has been an honor to me, and I couldn't be more proud of her."

Cora thanked her mentor, Melissa, on stage at the program stating, "I appreciate the hands-on learning experience I've had with this opportunity.  Melissa and MHTC have helped me prepare for my future and I've truly enjoyed the experience."

Cora has worked hard on many projects, but one she really took ownership of was the win-win yard sign campaign.   If you would like to learn more about it, you can click HERE.

Another recent project that shows how MHTC continues to support our community is the upcoming gaming tournament.  It's FREE to participate, but the gamers can win a stay at Chula Vista and a chance to bring home cash prizes that total $4,000.  To learn more, please click HERE.

These are just a couple of the many projects Cora has put time into. MHTC is proud to take part in helping her jumpstart her future career.  We appreciate her work and enthusiasm, and we can't wait to see her succeed as she continues on to school and works towards her goals.
