Customer Billing Portal Credentials
Customer will need to set up credentials with the Billing Office prior to accessing the MHTC Customer Billing Portal.
Customer Billing Portal set up can be confirmed in eLation. Once you have navigated to the customer account, on the Account View screen, the Web User information will tell you if the customer is set up with access. Here are two examples:
This example is a customer WITH Customer Billing Portal access set up:

NOTE: The username is always set up as an email address. Once the customer logs into the Billing Portal they sometimes change settings and will set the username to something else (not an email address). This causes them issues logging in as they are attempting to use an email address. This username can be disclosed to the customers, but CPNI MUST BE VERIFIED FIRST.
If the customer has Billing Portal access set up, but they do not know the password, they can use the “Forgot Your Password” option on the portal login page to attempt to reset the password. If the customer is unable to get the password reset, the MHTC Billing Office will need to be contacted for assistance.
This example is a customer WITHOUT Customer Billing Portal access set up:

NOTE: To get Customer Billing Portal access, the MHTC Business Office will need to set this up for the customer. Blackhole@mhtc.net was a designated fictitious email address that was used upon billing conversion to eLation as no customer has this set up and it was a required field.
