Fall Sun Outages

Each fall, a natural phenomenon known as a sun outage may cause temporary interference with your TV signal. This occurs when the sun moves directly behind the satellites that deliver our programming, briefly overwhelming the signal with solar radiation. During this time, you may experience brief signal loss or degradation, typically lasting no more than 15 minutes per day. These outages happen when the sun aligns with the satellite reception path, and while they are unavoidable, they are temporary and expected during this time of year.

The following dates and times are predictions of when the sun may impact your viewing.
