The holiday season has a special way of reminding us how meaningful community can be.

A helping hand from a neighbor.
A meal shared around the table.
A little extra support when someone needs it most.

That’s what Neighbors Helping Neighbors (NHN) is all about.

This holiday season, we’re proud to partner with NHN to help provide Thanksgiving and Holiday Meal Baskets to individuals and families throughout our local community and surrounding areas.

NHN supports local community members by providing food, clothing, personal items, and relief services to those who may be experiencing difficult times. During the holidays, that support can make a meaningful difference by helping someone enjoy a special meal with their loved ones.

Supporting Our Local Communities

NHN's service area includes:

  • Mount Horeb
  • Barneveld
  • Blanchardville
  • Blue Mounds
  • Cross Plains (Township within Mt. Horeb School District)
  • Dodgeville
  • Hollandale
  • Ridgeway
  • Verona (Township within Mt. Horeb School District)

In 2025, NHN provided:

  • 88 Thanksgiving Meal Baskets
  • 79 Holiday Meal Baskets
  • 92 prepared, hot meals delivered to community members on Thanksgiving Day

This year, we’re coming together to help make the holiday season a little brighter for our neighbors.

Supporting Food Resources Close to Home

NHN is one of several organizations working to address food needs throughout the communities we serve. We appreciate the important work of local resources such as the Dodger Food Locker in Dodgeville, the food pantry at Barneveld Lutheran Church, and the Pecatonica Food Pantry serving Hollandale.

If you have a food pantry serving your community, we encourage you to support the organization closest to home.

Every contribution, big or small, helps bring comfort and a little extra joy to someone in our community during the holidays.

Thank you for helping make the holiday season brighter for those around us!
