Help Make the Holidays Brighter: Holiday Meals for Our Neighbors

The holidays are a time for gathering around the table, sharing a meal, and creating memories with family and friends. For some of our neighbors, however, preparing a holiday meal can be an added challenge during an already busy season.

That’s why we’re partnering with Neighbors Helping Neighbors (NHN) to help provide holiday meals to local community members this season.

Together, we can help ensure more families and individuals can enjoy a special holiday meal at home.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

NHN provides food, clothing, personal items, and relief services to people throughout our local community and surrounding areas. Each year, NHN provides Thanksgiving and Holiday Meal Baskets to help local families and individuals enjoy a special meal at home.

NHN serves Mount Horeb, Barneveld, Blanchardville, Blue Mounds, Dodgeville, Hollandale, and Ridgeway, as well as Cross Plains and Verona townships within the Mount Horeb School District.

Making a Difference in 2025

In 2025 alone:

  • 88 clients received a Thanksgiving Meal Basket.

  • 79 clients received a Holiday Meal Basket.

  • 92 prepared, hot meals were delivered to community members on Thanksgiving Day.

These numbers represent the meaningful impact of neighbors helping neighbors and a community coming together to support those in need.

This holiday season, our goal is to raise $5,000 to help provide holiday meals to local community members.

Supporting Food Resources in Our Communities

NHN is one of several organizations working to address food needs throughout the communities we serve. We appreciate the important work of local resources such as the Dodger Food Locker in Dodgeville, the food pantry at Barneveld Lutheran Church, and the Pecatonica Food Pantry serving Hollandale.
