Melissa has been a key part of MHTC for nearly 27 years, and her contributions to Mount Horeb and the surrounding community have been immeasurable. Her reputation as a positive, vibrant presence with everyone she interacts with speaks volumes about her character and dedication to making communities a better place. Whether it’s helping out customers, attending chamber events, or supporting local causes, Melissa brings her unique energy, sunshine and drive to every project.

Her heart for our community is evident in everything she does. She served on the Mount Horeb Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for six years and, since 2017, has continued to serve as an Ambassador, always working to uplift and support local businesses. She also dedicates her time and talents to the Upland Hills Health Foundation Board, helping to ensure strong healthcare initiatives in the region.
Melissa is a leader, a mentor, a community builder—and most of all, a person who leads with kindness and generosity. She embodies the very spirit of service that this award represents. Like George Sievers, she doesn’t seek the spotlight; instead, she shines it on the people and places she believes in. She truly represents the heart and soul of our community.
